The Upcoming Season
Leinbach Motorsports is continuing preparation for
the upcoming season. The Warrior is nearly complete with finishing touches being
applied. Once the body is complete and installed, Dirtwrap Inc. will design and
manufacture the graphics. Upon their arrival, Gayle and Ross will install the
wrap to give the “NINE” a unique look for 2010.
While we are still gathering information from prospective tracks concerning
rules and procedures, our first scheduled race is April 10th at Selinsgrove. We
will follow that up with a season schedule to include 16 races and ending with a
trip Charlotte in November.
The 2010 season will be a season where Carl Graves and the “NINE” do not compete
for a championship. Rather, we will choose races from numerous tracks to include
Selinsgrove, Port Royal, Delaware International, Hagerstown and many of the
Speed Week shows.
We have placed our tow vehicles for sale and are planning to add a motor home to
our fleet so the crew, driver, and families have a place to stay when we are
away.
The 2010 season will mark changes that we never expected this late in our
careers. Since the closing of Silver Spring racing has not been the same.
Promoters, many competitors, and the lack of professionalism have soured our
taste for the 358 division. Driver Carl Graves stated”I’m more excited this year
than I have been in years.” I know the rest of the crew as well as management
feel the same way.
