  In memory of Russ Leinbach who passed away September 16, 1997. Russ and his car #9 were fixtures at the Reading Fairgrounds track from 1955 until the track closed in 1979. In 1967 he was joined by his brother, Ronnie, and then later by Ronnie's wife, Gayle, forming the Leinbach Motorsports team as it is today. Although less active in his final years because of failing health, Russ remained a valued advisor and supporter of the team right up until his death.. Pictured below are (left to right) Russ Leinbach, Davey Marburger and Ronnie Leinbach at the 1995 Racer's Reunion held at the Fairgrounds Mall in Reading, PA. The mall now stands where the famous Reading Fairgrounds dirt track thrilled fans for many years. Russ and Ronnie and their driver, Davey, are remembering their victory of April 11, 1970.
